CVD diamond material is diamond manufactured by chemical vapour deposition (CVD).
This process relies on decomposing carbon-containing gas molecules at sub-atmospheric
pressure which deposits diamond as a layer on a substrate.
Polycrystalline CVD diamond material has been optimised for mechanical dressing and
cutting tool applications. The manufacturing process for CVD material is controlled
which allows the synthesis of the material to be tailored to the exact needs of a
specific application
